This project titled “Play for Fun | Play to Win” are two lotus fold books featuring Walter Benjamin’s text Age of Mechanical Reproduction. These books take Benjamin’s idea of cult and exhibition values with the themes of competitive and leisurely gaming. Pulling the books from the slip cover mimics the action of opening a board game from the box.
